Description
Restoring Capacity in Public Health: Leading When the Work Keeps Changing
Note: This is a live webinar on September 8, 2026, from 2:30 pm-4:00 pm ET. Participants will use Zoom to join.
Training Overview:
Capacity strain can occur when responsibilities, expectations, ways of working, or broader conditions shift without adequate resources or support. In this webinar, participants will use the Assess → Clarify → Choose process to recognize signs of strain, identify contributing factors, and determine points of action within their role, team, work, or further upstream.
About the Presenter:
Corinna N. Kelley, MPH, is the Founder and Principal of CREID Consulting, LLC, where she helps leaders identify the gap between what they are responsible for and how they are currently operating—particularly as responsibilities, expectations, and working conditions change.
Drawing on more than 24 years across public health, healthcare, workforce development, and military service, Corinna brings a public-health assessment lens to leadership. She looks beyond the presenting challenge to examine the responsibilities, capacity, authority, relationships, culture, and conditions shaping how people lead and carry the work.
Her work combines strategic facilitation, leadership and workforce development, and coaching-informed advisory to help leaders make better decisions, use their authority effectively, and identify what they need to strengthen, shift, share, or stop carrying. Corinna is a U.S. Air Force veteran whose national work has included engagements with NNPHI, NACCHO, the CDC Foundation, and PHAB.
