Description

Audience-Centered Public Health: Adaptation and Responsive Practice

Note: This is a live webinar on March 11, 2026, from 12:00 pm-1:30 pm ET. Participants will use Zoom to join. This is the second session in a two-part webinar series. Learners may choose to register for both webinars in the series or for individual sessions.

Training Overview:

Building on the previous webinar, which dives into effective engagement and accessibility, this webinar focuses on the remaining pillars of an audience-centered public health approach. Participants will explore facilitation skills that support engagement, strategies for adapting public health programs to meet audience needs while maintaining core intent, and tools that promote responsiveness. Practice-based activities are embedded throughout to support skills-building and application.

About the Presenter:

Rachel Marquez, MPH, is a Program Manager with Emory Centers, where she is responsible for developing and facilitating trainings, writing and editing training products, and working to understand the landscape of lifestyle coaches delivering the National DPP throughout the country. Additionally, she works for and with nonprofit organizations across North Carolina to support programs and partnerships aimed at reducing the impact of social determinants of health and advancing equitable health outcomes. Her work focuses on bridging clinical services and community-based resources to ensure individuals and families have meaningful access to the supports they need to thrive.

Rachel is deeply passionate about audience-centered public health and approaches her work with a commitment to connection, empowerment, and practical application. She brings experience in aligning public health initiatives with community needs to improve access to health information, behavioral supports, and essential services that promote long-term health and well-being.

CERTIFICATE: The course contains three modules: a pre-session module, a module to access the webinar, and an evaluation module. After accessing these modules, learners will earn a certificate of completion.
